Ultimate Freedom

(answer at bottom)

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He created us, and He alone has the power to define us.

Ultimate freedom is total submission to our creator.
Submission means that we willingly, actively give up choice and take our orders from Him. Why wouldn’t we? If we really understood the all-knowingness and all-lovingness, perfection and sovereignty of God, we would trust him ENTIRELY, with everything we have, the way we want our children to trust us for their care, welfare and instruction.

One example of this is the voluntary service of a soldier, marine, airman, sailor, police, firman, etc…
Someone who takes orders from a chain of command which is trusted to lead correctly, to save, to preserve, and to free. Free people from political oppression, free children from a burning building. If one dies (the “ultimate sacrifice”) in this method of service, it is defined as valor, and that person is a hero because it is right, and everyone knows it at the deepest level.

The fact that good and evil exist is not debatable if you subscribe to the teaching of the Bible. Angels, demons, heaven, hell… it’s two opposing forces.

Evil tries to force itself upon us, deceive us, and coerce us to pay no attention to good, and if that doesn’t work, then to hate it. Whether passive or active, rejection of God (or of good) has the same result. God on the other hand waits patiently for us to excercise our free will to love and to trust, to seek and ask. To be taught how to love, to serve, and to seek truth. When God reveals himself to us our natural and right response it to accept, love and trust, because only He is perfectly worthy of ultimate love and trust. Pursuit of God leads to HUMILITY, as one realizes his right position before God and among others.

Evil tells us that we are equal with God, that we are masters of our own fate, and that we can take everything that we think is good for us. It tells us that we can define our own morality and that anything we are is right, because we have the right to make our own rules and define our own existence. Evil causes wrong choice and sends in PRIDE to validate it.

Good allows us to make right choices, to love and to learn the higher way, which provides benefits of peace and wisdom that blesses others, and provides a deep satisfaction of a life well-lived.

Ultimate Freedom is the attitude of total willingness toward God.
